One of the differences from general rehabilitation or detox programmes, is that Gilead is set on a farm so that clients can learn practical skills whilst going through their recovery, to better equip them for employment, and give them a boosted sense of confidence.
Personal development training will also be involved, along with a range of life skills training, such as numeracy, literacy and ITC skills. After detox, clients will be given a skills scan to help organise an appropriate training programme according to their ability and preference, which incorporates e-learning, and can progress into further accredited courses.
There are also certificates that can be obtained for agricultural work and use of machinery, as well as use of equipment in the catering department. Please visit our Risdon Training site where you can find out more detailed information about this, or contact us for more specific information.
